PMASD Disaster Relief: November 2025 Typhoons
In November 2025, Typhoons Tino and Uwan struck the Philippines, affecting thousands of families and communities. The Philippine Medical Association of San Diego and the community rallied to help those victims recover from the devastation.

The Impact of Typhoon Tino and Uwan
In November 2025, the Philippines was hit by Typhoon Tino and Super Typhoon Uwan, two powerful back-to-back storms. They caused widespread flooding, wind damage, and displacement, affecting millions of people across multiple regions.
Bringing aid and hope to typhoon-affected families.
Spearheaded by San Diego Pediatrician Dr. Carmelita Uy of the PMASD Board of Directors, the Philippine Medical Association of San Diego was able to coordinate the packing and distribution of 600 bags of canned and sealed goods to 600 people affected by the recent typhoons in Busay, Cebu City, and Liloan Town in the Philippines.

A little bit of joy for those who have lost so much.
Thanks to the kindness of our donors and a coordinated effort with our allies in the Philippines, the Philippine Medical Association of San Diego was able to make hope possible.

Project Carabao
The PMASD recognizes that the rebuilding process will be a long term journey and it aims to support that process in 2026 with free medical services as part of its medical mission to various hard hit and impoverished regions in the Philippines. If you would like to help, consider making a tax deductible donation towards our charitable efforts or participate with us in our ongoing local community projects. We are grateful for all your support!
