PMASD: A Word on Movement
A word on movement, from the Philippine Medical Association of San Diego.
Dr. Lisa Marie Hamilton, Dr. Emily Uy, Dr. Mariles Valencia, Dr. Ireneo Tiangco, Dr. James Dompor-Tran, Dr. Troy Niguidula, Dr. Arwinnah Bautista, Dr. Renato De La Rosa, Dr. Griselda Tiu, and Ycel De La Cruz share their thoughts.
A Collaborative in the Making
When Manalo Supply founder, Jason Colorina, came up with the idea of teaching a group of Aunties and Uncles with no prior experience how to play pickleball, seasoned PMASD members and friends took up on the offer to learn a new sport.
Like running and jogging, pickleball is a popular activity that anyone can pick up and play and has the added benefit of being easy on the knees. The group had a GREAT time! Thank you, Manalo Supply for the lesson and friendship. We look forward to collaborating and getting more people to get up and move!
Time to Train
Now that you've signed up for the 2026 PMASD Carabao 5K, it's time to get out there!
Whether you're training for a personal best, just trying to stay fit, or running for a brief escape from the many stresses of life.
For your heart. For mental clarity.
To be more present for your family. To be more productive in the work place. To feel weightless on your feet.
Powerful, like a Carabao.
Dr. Joseph Novencido and Brother in Law, Joel Eros run through the Mediterranean.
Why do you run?
Movement is one of the most powerful medicines we have.
Those that run consistently enough know how it feels to experience the "runner's high" -- that release of endorphins that flood the brain with a sensation of euphoria and ease that calms anxiety and pain.
It's also a key ingredient in the fight against heart disease.
Let the world know the strength of the Carabao.
